IIC Membership

IIC is a multilayered industry body to ensure inclusion and full impact investment eco-system representation.

The various categories of membership are:

Institutions joining the council in the first year of formation and making higher membership fee contribution

Active investors (registered funds or fund managers

Four categories of non-investors i.e. other ecosystem players such as:

  • Family Foundations, Limited Partners (LPs) & Philanthropists
  • Corporations (CSR wings) & Corporate Foundations
  • Social Entrepreneurs & NGOs
  • Consultants, Researchers, Investment Banks, Incubators & Intermediaries

IIC Governance

  • Executive Council:
    Provide strategic direction for IIC and create a vibrant environment for impact investing in India

  • Definitions and Measurement Sub-Committee:
    Develop frameworks and metrics for impact measurement and assessment for standardization in reporting

  • Research and Policy Support Sub-Committee:
    Engage with regulators and policy makers to create a favorable operating environment for impact investing in India and bring out publications with focus on needs of the sector

  • Outreach and Membership Sub-Committee:
    Expand the membership base of the Council and liaise with media networks and other industry bodies

  • Secretariat:
    Assist the Executive Council in discharging its functions and provide administrative support
