Job Summary:

The Manager – Advocacy and Government Affairs shall lead IIC’s regulatory efforts by championing the council’s policy aims with various regulatory and government bodies. This role includes establishing and strengthening IIC’s position as an accepted working partner across the impact investment industry with key industry stakeholders and strategically influencing the regulatory authorities.

The individual should thoroughly understand the policy-making and advocacy process, as well as how to design advocacy campaigns and build relationships with key policy stakeholders in India, including think tanks, industry stakeholders and related organizations in the impact investment space.

Role Expectations:

The individual will have the opportunity to be involved in a broad range of high profile activities that are instrumental in shaping IIC’s approach to engaging in public policy and contributing to the public policy debate. Other responsibilities include:

  • Directly engaging policymakers and relevant government bodies to educate them about IIC mission and vision
  • Analyzing existing and proposed laws and regulations for impact investment space
  • Monitoring regulatory matters relevant to IIC’s policy interests and designing corresponding position papers/ publications in support of the IIC’s strategies
  • Creating and executing advocacy campaigns to advance positions and interests
  • Representing IIC at meetings with relevant policy stakeholders

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of government relations experience including directly engaging policy makers and/or regulators
  • Prior experience working with, or as part of, policy organizations, associations, or non-profits developing and implementing advocacy campaigns
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills and ability to balance multiple stakeholders
  • Sound judgment and ability to research, review and analyze a large volume of thought ware targeting industry, policymakers and other stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Awareness and understanding of substantive policy issues, especially issues related to India, and impact investment space

Job Summary:

The Manager – Membership Services (Sales) will be responsible to build and implement the IIC’s member relationship and retention strategy, as well as recruiting new members for the IIC. The individual will need to work closely with our members to understand their needs and ensure their commitment to the IIC. This key role will provide the opportunity to drive the organization as the Member Champion. The individual will provide the links for internal and external activities as well as engage members to make the most of their membership and the services IIC offer.

Role Expectations:

The individual will have the opportunity to plan, direct and deliver an overarching membership development process in accordance with the IIC strategic plan and following the guidelines established by the IIC. Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing an annual membership services strategy
  • Ensuring a detailed analysis of membership profiles
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities to increase and diversify membership
  • Forge collaborations with partner organizations
  • Developing standards and modernizing procedures to include the membership application process
  • Devising and delivering recruitment and retention strategies and campaigns
  • Developing innovative and forward thinking services to members using technology and social media tools
  • Ensuring delivery of day-to day membership services (applications, renewals, enquiries etc.)

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience of recruitment and retention of membership and delivery of support services in a comparable role
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills including negotiation, influencing and networking
  • An understanding of membership engagement principles affecting membership bodies
    Ability to perform the role of a good ambassador for the organization at all times

Job Summary:

The Manager – Research & Media (Marketing) plays a key role in ensuring that research conducted in IIC is delivered to the highest quality, and offers contextual insights into the impact investment space to meet the organization and the sector’s needs. The individual therefore works to make sure that our research is relevant, applied and useful to stakeholders across the organization and across the country.

Role Expectation:

The individual will be required to lead research projects ensuring that all research is technically well designed, resourced, implemented, reported and disseminated to a range of audiences on time and within budget. Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing annual marketing plan in collaboration with sales department
  • Managing marketing budget and doing all the activities in the given budget
  • Directing and coordinating research activities and draws out the specifications in respect to developments in impact investing space and then developing content, write newsletter articles, blog articles and social media posts
  • Acting as a liaison between members of the press and IIC disseminating the work done by the council
  • Developing and implementing communication strategies within and outside the company
  • Maintaining and building professional relationship with internal and external stakeholders of the company including media

Key Qualifications:

  • Formal 8-year degree from accredited college in the field of Economics or Public Policy or Social Development
  • At least 3 years of experience in leading research projects and proven experience in report writing
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong qualitative and/or quantitative research skills, and experience of designing and managing mixed methods research in support of practical outcomes
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting and reporting
