IIC organises a Convention Meet for it's Members once every 6 months. We are happy to announce this year's MC on the 15th February 2018, from 4pm till 6pm in New Delhi. The convention will witness an update on IIC's performance in 2017, an update from the internal working groups, a quick dive into Charter expectations and understanding IIC's upcoming en-devours.

Impact Investing in India is expected to reach $6-8 billion by 2025, generating social benefits and commercially viable products, technologies and services that can serve over 3 billion underserved people, globally. With this vision IIC seeks perception of global leaders to build a stronger Impact Investing community and help IIC spread it's wings globally. Hence, we have invited Sir Ronald Cohen, Chairman- Global Social Impact Investment Steering Group, an institutional initiative, which started as a G8 committee, to share his exemplary vision.

The evening is planned for the 15 Feb 2018, in New Delhi, India between 6pm till 8pm. There will be celebrated Fund managers, Family offices, HNIs, joining us to share their thoughts on how Impact Investing can focus at becoming the future of investing. We intend to have a short open discussion with Sir Cohen, post which the evening will essentially revolve around networking over cocktails
An illustrious business and political leader, he leads The Portland Trust, Social Finance UK, Social Finance USA, Social Finance Israel and Big Society Capital. He famously co-founded Bridges Ventures and Apax Partners Worldwide LLP. Sir Cohen won a scholarship to Oxford University, where he became President of the Oxford Union, and earned a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Exeter College. He subsequently attended Harvard Business School, where he was a member of the Harvard Business School Rugby Club.

Dr. Muhammad Yunus needs no introduction. But to share a brief about his celebrated life- Dr. Yunus is a Bangladeshi social entrepreneur, banker, economist, and civil society leader who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for founding the Grameen Bank and pioneering the concepts of microcredit and microfinance. These loans are given to entrepreneurs too poor to qualify for traditional bank loans. In 2006, Shri Yunus and the Grameen Bank were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize "for their efforts through microcredit to create economic and social development from below". Dr. Yunus has received several other national and international honours. He received the United States Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009 and the Congressional Gold Medal in 2010. In 2008, he was rated number 2 in Foreign Policy magazine's list of the 'Top 100 Global Thinkers'.
IIC is facilitating a meet with the Nobel Peace Award Winner, Dr. Muhammad Yunus on the 24th January 2018 in New Delhi. The meet will comprise of the GOI representatives, celebrated funds and fund managers of the Impact Investing community. We will also be joined by ecosystem players who invest to create and impact, alongwith family offices, HNIs, Private Equity managers and varied other investors of the country.
