The Impact Investors Council (IIC) successfully collaborated with the United Nations ESCAP team to lead a workshop at the prestigious Impact Harvest Forum, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The event brought together 100 delegates, including investors, regulators, entrepreneurs, and other key stakeholders.

✨ Roundtable discussion - 'Sustainability Reporting Requirements'

Girish Aivalli, CEO of IIC, recently participated in a roundtable on 'Sustainability Reporting Requirements' organized by the IFSCA and the UNDP Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S). This cornerstone event aimed to provide insights from the Indian perspective to the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG).
During the discussion, Girish emphasized the necessity for the private sector to meet sustainability reporting standards and highlighted the challenges that SMEs face in fulfilling these requirements. He also advocated for measures to provide SMEs with tailored support for sustainability reporting, ensuring a smoother transition and more comprehensive future reporting. Additionally, Girish discussed the increasing role of digital technologies in improving the efficiency and accuracy of sustainability reporting.
