BluSmart's founding tenet was “the future of ride-hailing is electric” and it wanted to solve the prevailing challenges in the urban mobility sector. On the user side, it found that they were pained by the high number of ride cancellations, unhygienic cars and unpredictable fares. On the driver partner side, it found that the drivers were unhappy with having to own and maintain the asset, and the financial burden that came with it was affecting their stable livelihood. These market gaps are what BluSmart aimed to solve through its born electric, full-stack and integrated business model.

Currently, BluSmart has a fleet of 5500+ EVs in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru and has completed 10 million emission free rides and saved 24K tonnes of CO2 emissions. BluSmart has consistently maintained a 4.9 rating on Apple store and Google play with 2.3 Mn+ app downloads.

To support the all-electric fleet and to ensure uninterrupted operations, BluSmart has set-up a comprehensive EV charging superhub infrastructure. Currently, BluSmart operates 34 strategically located EV charging superhubs across Delhi NCR and Bengaluru, covering a vast expanse of over 1.3 million square feet, one of the largest EV charging infrastructures in the world. These hubs operate close to 4,000 fast and slow charging stations. Our charging hubs have the capacity to charge between 100 and 200 EVs simultaneously, with one of our largest hubs having the capacity to charge over 300 EVs.

BluSmart has a very unique operating model when it comes to the driver partners. It has taken the burden away from our driver partners and made them independent and financially stable. Driver partners are recruited based on their driving and interpersonal skills, and are not required to pre-own any asset, such as a vehicle, eliminating any additional financial burden on them. They are provided an equitable livelihood opportunity for both men and women. .
