On January 31st, 2025, the Impact Investors Council, in collaboration with Bluemark as a partner, convened an exclusive panel discussion to explore the evolving landscape of impact verification. As companies increasingly focus on responsible growth tracking, the session addressed key challenges, best practices for analyzing verification reports, and strategies for streamlining the process through strong internal documentation and clear intent.

By bringing together multiple perspectives - the discussion provided deeper insights into impact verification’s role in enhancing transparency and accountability. On February 4th, 2025, the Impact Investors Council hosted an insightful session on Decoding the 2025 Budget and Its Market Implications, delivered by Meyyappan Nagappan, Partner, Tax and Impact Finance, Trilegal. The session provided an in-depth analysis of key shifts introduced in the 2025 Budget and their impact on investors.

The discussion covered critical changes in income and gains treatment for investors, a simplified regime for IFSC-based fund managers, relaxed conditions for investments, and evolving trends in mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, the session reflected on India’s tax treaties and a comparative analysis of the 2025 budget with the previous year’s framework.

IIC, in collaboration with the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), hosted a closed-door session at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Ahmedabad—India’s first Smart City and International Financial Services Centre (IFSC)—to explore its vast potential.

This exclusive session featured keynotes from senior leadership at IFSCA and insights from funds such as Vivriti Asset Management, 3one4 Capital, and Next Bharat Ventures. The discussions were further enriched by an interactive dialogue, moderated by IIC, where member funds engaged directly with IFSCA officials on opportunities within GIFT City.
