Ramraj Pai is the Chief Executive Officer at the India Impact Investor’s Council (IIC). He has been a credit market specialist, with specialization in financial services and inclusion related issues. Before joining IIC, Ramraj served as the President at CRISIL limited and led them to set up an integrated business development function across businesses, focussed on relationship management/deepening product penetration in banks/financial institutions covering India and emerging markets. Ramraj worked with CRISIL for 24 years. He has a Btech degree in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappali and an MBA from S.P.Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai

Neha Bhatnagar

Neha is IIC’s second employee (after the CEO) and has been associated with the council since Jan 2015. During the 15 years of her work life- Neha has functioned across multiple industries: impact investing (6years), technology, strategic partnerships, business development and academics. She has explored MNCs & startup platforms in both for-profit and not for profit sectors. Work life gave her the opportunity to work out of various global geographies- Singapore, Australia and Netherlands. Post her specialization in Robotics, Multimedia and Software Development from Melbourne, Australia and her term at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, she worked with brands like CitiBank (Australia), TCS, IMS, Oliver Wyman (Singapore) and Google. Despite her walk on the road less traveled, her growing years at Scindia School, Gwalior and time with family remain to be the most impact-ful.

Divya Pinge
Divya Pinge
Senior Manager, Research
Divya has a work experience of close to 15 years spanning the financial services and social impact space. She has worked for close to 11 years in the Commercial Banking sector that included stints with Aditya Birla Finance, Axis Bank and Yes Bank. In her banking career, she has worked in credit analysis, financial risk management and product development.

 

She was keen to apply her experience for creating tangible impact and transitioned to the social sector to understand it better. She has worked as a Product Manager with a civic-technology based non profit organization called Civis and also consulted with a education based social enterprise called TribesforGOOD. These stints helped her gain immense insight in the challenges and opportunities present in this space.

 

Divya sees impact investing as the perfect confluence between commercial finance and social impact initiatives and is very keen to learn more about and contribute to this sector.

 

By education, Divya is a B.E(Information Technology) from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College, Mumbai and a MBA (Finance) from Xavier Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. She has also completed her Graduate Certificate Course in Public Policy (Tech & Policy) from The Takshashila Institution.

 

Umang Vats

Umang Vats is an Assistant Manager at the India Impact Investor’s Council (IIC). Her past professional experience includes research-based roles, with specialization in sustainability and climate change related issues. Before joining IIC, Umang served as an Assistant Manager at the Times Group and led content development for summits like The Economic Times SDG summit, The ET ESG summit, etc. to drive the leadership driven agenda in grit to further the goals of environment consciousness into profitable businesses and reworked on developing sustainability focused communication strategies. Umang also worked as a Project Assistant at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) to develop an analytical framework to ascertain the level of innovation in the MSME sector post Covid-19 as a part of the National Manufacturing Innovation survey 2022. She has a BSc(H) degree in Computer Science from University of Delhi and an MSc in Disaster Management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

Sagar is a young professional passionate about youth leadership and working towards the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG #4 Quality Education. In addition to working in Ed-Tech startups for two years, Sagar has three years of experience working in the not for profit sector with AIESEC before joining IIC. He has worked across various functions such as Event Management, Operations, Human Resources, Business Development, B2C Sales, Marketing, Communications and Auditing. He graduated from Smt. M.M.K College of Commerce & Economics with a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Markets.

Varun Reddy

Varun is a research associate at IIC. He is passionate about financial markets and a firm believer in financial literacy being one of the critical factors for the progress of an individual and the nation. He has completed his Bachelor in Commerce, specializing in Finance, from St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore. To set a strong foundation in Finance, he has enrolled for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program and has completed two levels. While interning at a startup, he realized the importance of impact creation and impact at scale could be achieved only through capital being accessible where needed.

Esha Saini
Esha Saini
Research Associate

Esha works as a Research Associate at IIC. She completed her Bachelor in Financial Markets from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. Curiosity drove her to explore the field of finance and she is further strengthening her foundation by enrolling in the Chartered Financial Analyst Program where she has cleared the first Level. Esha has always been keen on exploring the Impact Investing Space as she believes that finance can be a powerful tool for positive change. She sees impact investing as a way to align her passion for finance with her desire to make a difference in the world.
