🎡 IIC at the London Climate Action Week

During London Climate Action Week, IIC hosted two significant events: the India Climate Convening on June 24th and 11th Edition of The India Room London on June 25th. Both the events brought together a distinguished group of over a 100 Indian and global investors, development finance experts, policymakers, academics, and specialist climate investors.

The Convening, a collaboration with the Grantham Research Institute and the Impact Investing Institute (III), explored the policy frameworks, academic foundations, and social imperatives critical for financing a just transition, thus establishing a robust intellectual groundwork for climate action. The India Room, organized in partnership with the British International Investment (BII), showcased concrete, data-backed, and investable opportunities to the international Limited Partner community.

💼 IIC conducts Young Professionals Program (YPP) in collaboration with Leapfrog

The Young Professionals Program (YPP) was designed to build a strong foundation in impact investing for early-career analysts and associates. Jointly conceptualised by the Impact Investors Council and LeapFrog Investments, the program introduced participants to the philosophy of combining profit with purpose, demonstrating how capital can be strategically deployed to deliver both financial returns and positive social and environmental outcomes.

Through case-led sessions and insights from leading experts, participants explored various capital instruments and their role in supporting enterprises at different growth stages.

The mentors for the day included:

  • Julie Wallace (LeapFrog Investments) → Impact Frameworks
  • Nakul Zaveri (LeapFrog Investments) → Equity as an Instrument
  • Ashish Mehrotra & Sandeep Singh (Northern Arc Capital) → Debt as an Instrument
  • Kartikeya Desai (Desai & Associates) → Blended Finance
  • Srinivas Ramanujam (Villgro) → Innovative Frameworks for HNIs
  • Karan Ganna (Trilegal) → Regulatory Landscape

The program went beyond introductory learning, encouraging participants to develop their own impact-focused investment thesis, identify key sectors, and understand how to align financial structures with mission-driven outcomes.
