Impact

ReMeDi™ has emerged as a vital channel of health care delivery in poor, rural pockets of developing countries delivering care close to clients and saving precious resources.

Neurosynaptic undertakes Managed Healthcare Services including project implementation and management at private as well as Government facilities through Private-Public-Partnership (PPP Models) and along with several SI Partners, Implementation Partners, Hospital Partners, and Foundations

Data shows that over 80% of ReMeDi® telemedicine clients are from the poor economic quintiles, with more than 50% representing the poorest quintile, despite a fee-for-service model. Quality healthcare reaches to the patients within a distance which is less than that to a government PHC in most cases.

Neurosynaptic Communications has created a tool kit that can be used to provide end-to-end Healthcare Service Delivery through health workers to administer 35 different tests in an identity-secure manner, and enable doctors to provide services remotely. If a city hospital has a catchment area of 50 villages around it, it doesn’t have to depute doctors or nurses to conduct the tests, and provide healthcare access. Patients don’t have to travel to the hospital to get these tests done.

The company has touched 50 Million + lives through 2600+ centres in over 12 countries including 12+ states in India. A partnership-based approach is taken for improving and expanding the reach.

COVID Initiatives

To cater to the needs that arose with COVID-19 Pandemic, we have bundled our offerings into several different models, like the Direct-to-home teleconsultation model. This enables the Doctors at any hospital to connect with their patients who can use the application on their smartphones and tele-consult from the comfort of their homes. This has received an excellent response from the users.

Expansion plans

Having achieved over a 110% revenue growth in the previous financial year with 68% more customer acquisitions, the Company has significant contracts at hand with a forecast of 260% revenue growth in the current financial year. This year is going to be an extremely busy and important year for the Company like the previous year. With increased acceptance for the Managed Healthcare Services, and strong partnerships in multiple geographies, the Company is looking at large growth in both domestic and overseas business, and intends to make investments into appropriate Teams, Delivery and Product Development for local regulatory requirements.

Investors and Partners

We believe that Neurosynaptic Communications is trying to solve a real need to access quality healthcare at affordable costs by connecting patients in underserved areas to doctors at the hub through their video consultation platform which is able to operate at low bandwidths. Through its innovative ‘Clinic in a Suitcase’ offering with more than 30 point of care tests and its proprietary blue-tooth enabled hardware devices, it offers a cloud-based platform for collection and storage of clinical data and facilitation of a comprehensive tele consult. Each consultation costs less than USD 2 and also provides other cost savings (travel and lost wages) to the tune of USD 15. HealthQuad, an Indian transformative healthcare fund, seeks to invest in disruptive, technology based and innovation driven businesses like Neurosynaptic Communications, which can transform healthcare in India and other low- and middle-income countries with similar healthcare challenges.
