Novo Holdings invests in Indian agritech firm AgNext Technologies
Copenhagen-based life sciences investor Novo Holdings has invested an undisclosed sum in Indian agritech player AgNext Technologies Private Limited to support the latter's growth and international expansion.
The deal marks Novo Holdings's first Asia investment in the planetary health sector that aims to drive the green transition.

Matter Motors raises Rs 82 crore from Japan Airlines & TransLink Innovation Fund, others
Electric motorcycle maker Matter Motors has raised Rs 82 crore in a funding round that saw investments from Japan Airlines & TransLink Innovation Fund and Helena Special Investments Fund, among others.
The Ahmedabad-based firm issued 1.1 lakh compulsory convertible preference shares at an issue price of Rs 7,320 each for the fundraising, documents filed with the Registrar of Companies showed.

Founded in December 2023 by Amitt Nenwani and Kashiish A Nenwani, Wahter leverages advertising opportunities on its bottle labels to offset production costs. Steve Hardgrave, originally from Southern California, has dedicated 13 years to improving affordable education in India through Varthana Finance, a Bengaluru-based NBFC.
Varthana provides loans to small private schools that lack existing banking relationships but need the money for activities like expanding classrooms, constructing or upgrading labs, or buying school buses.

The startup will use the capital to strengthen its presence in India, enter other countries and develop its AI platform.
Founded in 2017 by Dhruv Joshi and Dileep Raman, the health startup is a full-stack AI and operations company that partners with hospitals to handle patients in their intensive care units (ICUs) and emergency departments.
